Business phone & VoIP rescue

Former Rimrock Technology Solutions Customer?

If your Rimrock phone service isn't working the way it should — or you can't reach anyone to fix it — GTech can help. We recover phone service, migrate businesses to modern VoIP platforms like Zoom Phone, and work with carriers to transfer your business phone numbers safely.

GTech is an independent technology company. We are not affiliated with Rimrock Technology Solutions or Rimrock Telecom, and we have not acquired their business. We simply help former Rimrock customers keep their phones working.

The situation

When your phone provider goes quiet

Businesses that relied on Rimrock phones and Rimrock VoIP service tell us similar stories: the system worked for years, then support got harder to reach, and eventually questions about service, billing, or number porting started going unanswered. If you're unable to reach your previous provider — or your current phone system is simply no longer being supported — you're not stuck.

The most important thing to know: your business phone number is generally yours to keep, and the sooner you act, the smoother the transfer. Waiting until service fails completely makes recovery harder.

  • Phones are down or service is unreliable
  • Support tickets and calls go unanswered
  • You can't reach your provider at all
  • A number port request is stuck or rejected
  • Your phone system is aging and no longer supported
  • You're not sure who actually controls your numbers

How GTech can help

From emergency support to a phone system with a future

Emergency VoIP support

Rapid triage to get calls flowing again — interim routing, forwarding, and stabilization while a permanent fix is planned.

Number porting & recovery

We identify the underlying carrier, prepare the port request, and escalate stuck or rejected ports until your numbers are safe.

Zoom Phone & VoIP migration

Full migrations to Zoom Phone or another modern hosted VoIP platform — call flows, voicemail, queues, and training included.

SIP phone replacement

Reuse the desk phones that can be re-provisioned; supply and configure replacements for the ones that can’t.

Network troubleshooting

Choppy audio and dropped calls are usually network problems. We fix QoS, switching, and firewall issues at the source.

On-site & ongoing support

Local installation and cabling across the Central Coast, remote support beyond it, and managed IT if you want one accountable partner.

Phone systems are one piece of what we do — see our business phone & VoIP services, networking, cabling & security cameras, and managed IT services.

Number porting

Keep your business phone number

Your number is on your trucks, your signage, your invoices, and in your customers' phones. In most cases it can be retained even when changing providers — including when the previous provider is unresponsive — because numbers usually live with an underlying carrier rather than with the company that billed you.

Every situation is different, and recovery gets harder once numbers are disconnected. GTech works directly with carriers to locate, recover, and transfer business numbers whenever possible — and we'll tell you honestly what we find.

Start a Number Recovery Request

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep my business phone number?
In most cases, yes. Business phone numbers can typically be ported to a new provider, and your right to move your number is protected in most situations. The most important factor is timing — porting is far easier while the number is still active with the underlying carrier, so if your service is degrading, start the process as early as possible.
What if my previous provider won't answer?
You don't need your old provider's cooperation to start. GTech identifies the underlying carrier that actually holds your numbers, gathers the account information a port request needs, and works the request directly with the carriers — including escalations when a port gets stuck. We handle difficult and unresponsive-provider ports regularly.
Can you replace my existing desk phones?
Yes — and often we can keep them. Many SIP phones can be re-provisioned to work with a new platform unless they are locked or end-of-life. We audit your existing Rimrock-era phones, reuse what makes sense, and supply and provision replacements where needed.
Can I switch to Zoom Phone?
Yes. Zoom Phone is one of the platforms we deploy most often for businesses leaving a legacy or unsupported VoIP system — it pairs desk phones with mobile and desktop apps and scales cleanly. We handle the migration end to end: porting, provisioning, call flows, and training.
How long does number porting take?
Simple ports often complete in a few business days; ports involving multiple numbers, complex accounts, or an unresponsive losing provider can take longer. We set up interim call routing where needed so your business keeps receiving calls while the port completes.
Do you support businesses outside your local area?
Yes. We're based in Orcutt, California — in the Santa Maria Valley — and serve the Central Coast on-site, but number porting, hosted VoIP migrations, and phone system support can be handled remotely for businesses anywhere in the U.S.
